The Department of Visual and Performing Arts, located on our beautiful College at Florham Campus, is less than an hour away from New York City by car or train. Our strong animation curriculum goes beyond what is taught at any training academy. We teach the why, the art of animating, along with the how. Our intimate Visual & Performing Arts Department, featuring a low student to faculty ratio, fosters mentorship and allows students to begin animating in their freshman year. At The College at Florham we strive to provide our students with the practical foundation they need to succeed in the animation and interactive media industries.

- CURRICULUM -
The Animation track provides students with interests in film and video animation, interactive gaming, commercial advertising and interactive media with the foundation necessary to produce high quality 3D artwork and animations. Courses focus on 2D and 3D computer animation, 3D computer modeling and interactive media design and application. This discipline stresses visual quality, sophisticated animation and graphic design skills combined with a high level of technical skill. Students create computer artwork and animations using 3D Studio Max, After Effects, Flash, Director and Photoshop, where each class assignment is designed to emulate real world types of projects.

- INTERNSHIPS -
Our students gain real world experience by completing industry internships for a variety of clients such as MTV, ABC, Nickelodeon, Miramax, Pierson Education, and many others where we maintain strong relationships. Students have also worked in both paid and unpaid positions creating 3D animations, games, websites and graphic designs through faculty networking. These experiences often lead to jobs in the industry after graduation.

- OUR FACULTY -
Our faculty continues to work professionally in the industry as animators, web designers, interactive multimedia artists and graphic designers, bringing a wealth of real world experience and knowledge to share with our students.
